[lttng-dev] userspace-rcu on ARMv7 (Beagle Bone Black)

   I've tried deploying userspace-rcu onto a bare, out-of-the-box Beagle Bone Black (running Angstrom GNU/Linux v2012.12 (Core edition) on kernel 3.8.13).  The dependencies seem to be all there (libc6 (2.4 vs. 2.16-r15), automake (1.10 vs. 1.12.3-r2.1), libtool (2.2 vs. 2.4.2-r5)).

   The bootstrap and configure steps bring no surprises, with minor differences with respect to a Ubuntu deployment (BBB has gawk, Ubuntu has mawk; the maximum command line length is 32 768 for BBB, 1 572 864 for Ubuntu; BBB is missing mt; BBB's gcc -static does not work; where Ubuntu checks for the mfence instruction, BBB checks for the dmb instruction).

   The make step, however, seems to go into an infinite loop.  It invokes automake-1.12 --foreign, then config/missing --run autoconf, repeat.

   Anyone know why?  And how to fix it?
