You need a LTTV compatible with the target.

This means ltt patches have already been applied to the kernel. To see
if you have ltt-control, check for the following executables:
/usr/bin/lttd or /usr/local/bin/lttd
/usr/bin/lttctl or /usr/local/bin/lttctl
