[ltt-dev] Problem in creating trace

Hi ,
I am facing the problem in creating the trace in the following scenarios:

1. Using the graphical LTTV to control tracing
     Steps:
             1.Run the "*ltt-armall*"
             2.Entered the root password
             3.Clicked "start"
     *Error Message:*
           Controlling trace:"trace"
            Create trace error:Failed to send the netlink message:connection
refused
           A problem occured when executing the su command : Operation not
permitted

2.A simple trace dump in trace format
      Steps:
           1.Run  "*lttv -m textDump -t /tmp/trace*"

       *Error Message*:
             Cannot open trace /tmp/trace
             /usr/local/bin/lttv:line 15: 3935 segmentation fault


Can anyone tell me whats the reason?
