I think this is normal, considering the way new branches are created in
this project.
I don't know your intention, but if you just want a list of new features
and changes, the "What's new" section of each LTTng Documentation has
just that. For LTTng 2.8, see <http://lttng.org/docs/v2.8/#doc-whats-new>.
The "Tracing control" bullet corresponds to LTTng-tools.
