[lttng-dev] compile error in lttng-ust-2.4.4

Hi Jonathan,

I tried compiling lttng-ust-2.7.1 and got the same compilation error.
gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20080704 (Red Hat 4.1.2-55)

I think (not sure) that compiling with newer gcc will not have this error.
