[lttng-dev] LTTV build failure in ubuntu 12.04

   You should upgrade to 1.0.0 or better yet 1.1.1 (http://git.efficios.com/?p=babeltrace.git;a=summary), as 1.0.0-rc1 precedes 1.0.0.  You may have to “Force version” from Synaptic, as it sometimes treats release candidates as later than the full versions.  (To force the version from the command line, use e.g. ‘apt-get install babeltrace=1.0.0’)

> gcc version - 4.6.3
> libtool      - NOT INSTALLED
> libgtk2.0-dev     - 2.24.10-0ubuntu6 (DOES NOT MEET >= 2.4)

   2.24 is greater than 2.4.  Is Synaptic telling you it isn’t?

> libpopt-dev  - 1.16-3ubuntu1
> libpango1.0-dev - 1.30.0-0ubuntu3.1
> libc6-dev    - 2.15-0ubuntu10.5
