The LTTng 2.X toolchain does not support anything before 2.6.38. For
kernels earlier than 2.6.38, you should use the legacy LTTng toolchain. You
can download the LTTng legacy toolchain from the page linked below. Make
sure that you check the compatibility
matrix<http://git.lttng.org/?p=lttv.git;a=blob_plain;f=doc/developer/lttng-lttv-compatibility.html;hb=HEAD>for
the version you should download.

Just skimming the compatibility matrix, I do not see 2.6.35.3. Can you go
to a slightly higher kernel? Maybe 2.6.36? Keep in mind that the old LTTng
toolchain is installed as kernel patches, so you'll need a vanilla kernel
to patch anyway.
