[lttng-dev] Instrumenting a program with a marker

Hello,


I have followed the installation instructions in section 2 in the ust
manual. I have installed ust, liburcu and LTTV. But I am a newbie to
tracing and a do not really follow everything in section 3 about the
"Quick start". What events can I use for user space tracing? I mean,
what can "myevent" and "myotherevent" be? Can I put the ust_marker
anywhere in a user application?

These questions are perhaps on a to low level for this mailing list?
