If one launches lttv-gui from a shell script, or a main menu shortcut,
or pretty much in any fashion except from a command line window, stdout
and stderr are not going to be seen by the user at all. There does not
seem to be any lttv logging either (none is mentioned in the lttv* man
pages, anyway, and there is no lttv online help either), so no
post-mortem is possible. This is very bad because if anything goes wrong
with lttv (such as when the trace format library is missing), the user
won't be told of it. There is a need for a console viewer similar to
that used by Eclipse.


Oh, by the way, the bug report form stops at LTTV 0.12.36 but this was
tested under 0.12.37...
