[ltt-dev] link lttv-gui binaries statically?

Hi all,
I have tried to compile the latest lttv 0.12.31 on  a CentOs 5 host. This failed
due to an old glib2 (2.12.3). Afterwards I compiled ttv 0.12.31 on Fedora Core13
and this works fine.

Now my question is, is there a way to compile the lttv binaries statically on
Fedora Core and let them running on CentOs 5? Upgrading the glib2 on CentOs is
currently not an option for me, because there are too many dependencies.
