<div>I wish to document the configuration parameters of an experimen, including the state of usttrace (active or not).  Is there a global variable or an environmental variable that would indicate usttrace "active" or "passive" state?  One solution I can think of would be to parse the command line arguments and look for usttrace.  However, this would not catch the <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family:monospace;white-space:pre;background-color:rgb(255,255,255);font-size:medium">LD_PRELOAD=/usr/local/lib/libust.so.0 ls case documented at </span><a href="http://lttng.org/files/ust/manual/ust.html">http://lttng.org/files/ust/manual/ust.html</a></div>
